DD Councils develop 5-year State Plans telling the Administration on Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (AIDD) what work is planned to be done with the funding provided by AIDD. The State Plan is submitted to and must be approved by AIDD. The State Plan serves as a guide to the Council on how to allocate resources and achieve its goals and objectives. Councils may amend their State Plan once a year with AIDD approval.
